Thursday Things

Let’s talk about how my plan is going.

If you remember my goals “togetreallyfrigginfast” were:

  • Run 4x’s a week
  • Yoga 2x’s a week
  • Strength/Cross Train 3 x’s a week

Alright so..the yoga has been about once a week, but I’ve also been incorporating “Long and Lean Routine” from my Beach Babe DVD which i think is helping! So anyways, that counts right?

Running…eh probably 2-3 times a week..sometimes outside when the weather cooperates (which has not been much) and sometimes on the ARC trainer at work, which btw, KILLS. But anyways it’s crazy how easy you get out of running shape! I PROMISE I’LL DO BETTER.

This is what I look like when I’m happy its sunny and motivated to run..

Cycling has also taken precedence over running lately- not a bad thing for me either. It helps keep me injury free with the bad feet and a little bit of ITBS.

This is what I look like when I bike. That’s real good if you didn’t know. :)

Strength and cross training- No problem- I probably do that mostly every day..it’s really hard for me to NOT do during any given day- its my favorite and usually is my main source of a good sweat session.

So yes, plans have not gone well…I think one problem with the running is not having a race to train for- but it’s so hard for me to plan ahead with my work schedule currently…But i think ill just set a date and take off- I need some motivation to get out and run lately.

That being said: I plan on running today- possibly after a bike ride, PROMISE!

Wrapping up these Thursday Things..I am happy to announce that Megan from Run Like a Girl is now a Sweat Pink Ambassador with me too! I really enjoy her blog- so go over and check it out and give her a congrats :)

Taking cue from Megan today, and her 3 Things Thursday Posts:
Here are 3 beauty essentials that I love!

1. Garnier Skin Renew Moisturize with SPF 28! Anti-Sun damage, I don’t leave home without it!

2. Neutrogena Wave Cleanser- this thing makes my face SO SMOOTH

3. Tarte Eyelash Curler- this thing works like a charm! also don’t leave without it!

Do you make goals/plans for the week dealing with workouts? What are your favorite beauty essentials?

Oh I love that Garnier face lotion!! I have been using it for over a year now :)

The Long & Lean routine is a great stretch that has yoga moves in it…totally counts for your yoga I’d say!

I NEED to do more yoga!! I know that it would totally help with my hips, which are always tight after a run.

My essentials include Aveda’s “Be Curly” curling enhancing hair lotion, which is great for summer because I just put it in and let my hair air dry. I also love the new BB (beauty balm) foundations that have come out. Garnier makes one and so does Too Faced from Sephora :-)

Whenever I set fitness goals I know that in reality I’ll do a little less than my goal. It’s just normal. I think you’re doing a boat load of fitness. Cycling… well you’re a rock star because that’s super hard!

Thanks for the shout out girl!!! I’m so excited to be an Ambassador. Woohoo!!

Running without a goal in mind is hard sometimes!! I think thats why I keep signing up for so many races haha. I like having them in the back of my mind to remind me that I NEED to run that day. What I need to do is bike/crosstrain more like you! I hate the indoor bike so I definitely need to buy myself a bike ASAP!

I should have put eyelash curler on my 3 things too! Its such a miracle worker for my eyes.
